Map: Zones of Occupation in Germany after World War II

At the end of World War II, Germany was divided into four occupation zones by the Allied forces. The United States controlled one zone, the United Kingdom another, France a third, and the Soviet Union the fourth. Berlin was also divided into four sectors, despite being within the Soviet sector.
