
Christina Volpe
Christina is a historian and curator with a passion for exploring how American families and communities shaped the places we live today. As the curator of the Barnes Museum, a quaint historic house museum in central Connecticut, Christina focuses on uncovering stories behind architecture, art, and the built environment, particularly during the Second Industrial Age, better known as America's Gilded Age. Currently working toward a PhD, Christina's first book, The Barnes Museum and Homestead will be published by Arcadia Publishing in February 2025 and explores the lives of the Bradley Barnes families, their 200-year homestead, and the countless 19th-century artifacts that remain in place today exactly as they intended. Christina is an active board member of the New England Chapter for the Society of Architectural Historians and the Connecticut History Review Journal.
