Eirene Archolekas

Eirene Archolekas is a writer, educator, and encaustic painter. She holds an MA in British and American Literature from Stony Brook University and graduate training in Journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She has covered culture and art as a journalist in the Middle East and the Americas. She runs art retreats from her island home in the Cyclades. A lifelong feminist and advocate of girls and women’s rights, she created the first online site to showcase the accomplishments of women from her ethnic background. She is currently completing a doctorate that combines Orthodox theology, art therapy and depth psychology.
