Tessa is an Egyptologist, storyteller, and unapologetic horse girl whose research explores equine history from antiquity to the modern day. She holds an MA in Egyptology from the American University in Cairo—where her thesis examined the horse stables of New Kingdom Egypt—and a BA in Art History from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She also specializes in digital archives and cultural heritage, making underrepresented histories accessible through storytelling and interpretation. She is constantly curious about the places where history, academia, and pop culture collide, with a soft spot for reality TV, true crime, and fringe subcultures.
