
Zaida Lagunas
Zaida is a Mexican-American artist educator, photographer, and aspiring curator born and raised in southern California. She has her BA in the History of Art and Architecture and a minor in Social Justice studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she diverged from the traditional art history path and began a more transdisciplinary trajectory that merges the arts and social justice. Currently, she is in the Nordic Master in Visual Studies and Art Education (NoVA) program at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, where she is further exploring who she is as a critical artist, researcher, and writer.
