Fun Facts
- If the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still existed today, two of them would be in Greece, two in Egypt, two in Turkey, and one in Iraq.
- The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only wonder still standing.
- Out of the seven wonders, five were constructed by ancient Greek architects and engineers. That’s because the list of the wonders was compiled by Greek travelers who traveled within the boundaries of their known world.
- In the modern list of the New 7 Wonders of the World, Greek sites are completely absent.
