About
The Kiss is Gustav Klimt’s celebrated golden masterpiece, showing a couple locked in an intimate embrace on a shimmering ground of gold leaf. Painted during his Golden Period, it combines Symbolist imagery with Art Nouveau ornament and Byzantine-inspired brilliance. The work is widely regarded as one of Klimt’s most important paintings.
